A Year of Celebration

How absurd it will be to many of us that the shaking of all things this year will inspire a celebrating family of faith to manifest more of the image of Jesus with a generosity, gratitude and living interpretation of Jesus’ love and life, even in the midst of our own conflicts. The composure that will mark our fellowship will also herald the power of God resident in our suffering, to let Him live His life through us…as (if) we preach and live the Gospel, the full Gospel, of Jesus.

Malachi 4:5, 6 -”Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. 6. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction."

This is the year of The Father and our fellowship with Him as a Fellowship of Fathers, as contrasted with a committee of hierarchical Church CEO figureheads. We will see Fatherhood manifest as faithful parenting of the Church. 

This fathering (shepherd-like rearing of the children and bonded relationship) will manifest as renewal in the Church and revival on the streets in at least three expressions.

1. An integrated and well assembled fellowship marked by cooperation and coordination, especially among the five gifted appointments of Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers.

2. The kind of unity that bonds us in accord with The Father and unity with one another so that we function under Him and with Him as a Unit.

3. Activated Intercession by demonstration and example among the Fathers and releasing of the same to those who lead by living and live by praying. <Clike for more>

Ray Hughes is a country boy and knows horses in so many ways that I do not. He takes the lore of training horses and scripture to paint a picture of  sheep as Warhorses, not so fantastic a propositon as men becoming the Bride of Christ. CITY PRAYER

     At 1:30 PM each Thursday is Intercessory Prayer training and practice. We pray for Corpus Christi and its environs, the area where the snow fell in 2004. It is like a practical school of the prophets. God has given prayer assignments to each participant.

      The Holy Spirit is bringing Kingdom order and leadership to our region from the courtrooms of the Lord. This description may sound a little unclear, but the idea is for you to come join in and learn to pray the prayers of Jesus and be led of the Holy Spirit with us.

BIBLE SHARING

     A mixed group of us also meet every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM at The Aerie Den for a Bible Sharing Hour. Each attendee comes prepared to share what Father God is saying through verse of scripture, something He is saying to each one that is also for each one. If you just come once you'll get the idea.

Both the afternoon prayer meeting and a 6 AM Bibile sharing hour are open meetings, so Y'all Come!
